It is best to use a check card but even doing that you are not totally safe, make sure your pin number is not written down on a piece of paper laying around your car or house either. There are certain precautions that you can take that can help in preventing these types of things from happening to you, however, you are still not 100% safe from it happening.

There are thieves out there, just waiting to take someone else’s hard earned money and do not feel the least bit guilty about it either. It may be hard to believe but there could even be someone in your family that would steal a checkbook from you and forge your signature, in order to purchase whatever they wish, or to get cash. I have had my own personal experience with this sort of thing, NEVER trust anyone 100%. As harsh as that seems, people that you love can hurt you and steal from you too, just like the criminals you hear about all the time. I am just saying, hold on to your possessions with a real tight grip, you never know who might be waiting for that opportunity to steal from you. If it is someone that you know and love, it can be the most hurtful thing ever, the enormous feeling of betrayal is to have a family member take something that belongs to you.

Do not become a victim of check fraud. Be cautious when shopping for the holidays and businesses, maybe you should consider not accepting checks anymore. That would resolve some of these issues. The holidays are supposed to be a happy time for every family, do not let check fraud turn your holidays into a nightmare.
